After 15 years as an emergency physician (the last four of those as medical director of an emergency department) I began studying homeopathy as a gentle, safe and effective complement to my conventional medical training. In 2006 I enrolled in the Nashville School of Homeopathy, graduated, and now, besides maintaining my medical license I practice homeopathy.

    Samuel Hahnemann, the father of classical homeopathy said, “The highest ideal of therapy is to restore health rapidly, gently, permanently; to remove and destroy the whole disease in the shortest, surest, least harmful way, according to clearly comprehensible principles.” My practice of homeopathy comes much closer to that ideal than did my practice of conventional medicine.
